It usually takes about two hours to create a same-day dental crown thanks to CEREC®, which takes away the need for temporary crowns and multiple appointments. When topical anesthetic is necessary, we choose Oraqix, a gel from DENTSPLY that immediately provides numbness. Oraqix is sometimes used in conjunction with The Wand® for extremely sensitive patients.

Just as the cameras on our smart phones have improved, so have the cameras we use at Shawnee Dental. The intraoral camera is an amazing tool that gives us the ability to capture digital pictures of the soft and hard tissues in your mouth. Intraoral cameras allow us to not only detect caries and other issues early but are a wonderful asset when documenting your progress and health.

Remember the days when you had to stand in front of a high-radiation x-ray machine to get a solid picture of your teeth and gums? Digital x-rays have eliminated the need for those types of x-rays and are more precise thanks to the software that is utilized by the program.
